A Commitment to the Future

Almost 30 years of restoration, maintenance, improvements, and preservation have gone into the now functioning Wolf Creek Boatworks. More than just a cherished and valuable piece of history, this boatworks....WORKS.

Residents from Price of Wales and SE Alaska enjoy the convenience of having a nearby facility for repairs, grid services, and just to duck in out of the weather and enjoy a few minutes of local history.

Wolf Creek Boatworks has never been focused on the bottom line profit. As a historical and iconic landmark the goal is preservation of SE Alaska history and a commitment to being an asset to the community.

Please take a few minutes to let Senator Lisa Murkowski and Congressman Mary Peltola know that you favor keeping the Historic Wolf Creek Boatworks from being destroyed by the actions of the Mental Health Trust.

Historic Wolf Creek has been my home and labor of love for 29 years. Since 2015 I have been working to save the historic site but the State of Alaska Mental Health Trust has no interest in a equitable, fair solution or interest in protecting the site. They have refused to sell the land or provide any of the protections, preventive or preservation measures they agreed to in the land swap. Without safeguards in place this historic landmark is in peril. Without constant investment of funds, equipment, labor and tools the buildings will eventually decay and be no more.

Please call, email, text, or Facebook message

your political representatives to ask for the Wolf Creek Boatworks to be protected.
